Belen Moreno is an art consultant, independent curator and artist rep. She holds a B.A. from Barnard College in Theatre Arts, and a B.S. in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale. Based in New York; she has lived belen_picbetween New York, Florida, Latin America and Europe. She has worked for Sothebys, Roche-Bobois, Grange, Romanza Interior Design and served as a Cultural Attachée to Switzerland, in addition to the international promotion of emerging and known artists’ work. She was an early participant and catalyst in the South Florida arts scene since running her first gallery in 1985. International in reach, cosmopolitan by nature, she has an intimate understanding of art, time and place. Belen Moreno has curated a variety of shows including photography exhibits such as ‘Spectrum the Photo House’ and ‘Khromatone I & II’. She is however better known for her painting exhibitions. ‘Apocryphae: Visions of the Sacred and Profane’ in 2010 was a stand-out show, in which she showcased the work of distinguished artists from around the world including Blanca Dixit Peralta from India and Bobo Ivancich de la Torriente from Venice (RIP) as well as artists from the Americas. It was held at the World Monuments Fund Gallery space in NYC’s Flatiron district.

Her exhibit ‘The Imperative of Living Things’ featuring the work of Andra Douglas, Julie Torres and K. Patricia Thrane took place in late 2016 in Miami Beach.
